Our Beliefs
We Believe that the Bible is God’s revelation of Himself to mankind, written by holy men inspired by the Holy Spirit, with the ultimate revelation being the Gospel message of redemption through Jesus Christ, His one and only sinless Son, and that it is without error.
We Believe Man was created by the special act of God, in His own image and the crowning work of His creation, yet by free choice sinned against God and brought sin onto the human race whereby each one inherits a nature of sin bringing a condemnation that must be paid.  We believe God’s love through Jesus Christ’s redemption is the only way for that payment to be made.
We Believe the Church is a body of baptized believers who are united by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel and is autonomous, operating under the Lordship of Jesus Christ with Pastors and Deacons as scriptural officers.
We Believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior.
We Believe the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine memorializing the death of the Redeemer and anticipating His second coming.
A more detailed summary of our biblical convictions is in a statement of faith called The Baptist Faith and Message (BF&M). We are not a creedal people, requiring individuals to embrace a standardized set of beliefs; but we are a confessional people. The BF&M represents the confessional consensus of certain definite doctrines that we believe, cherish, and with which we have been and are now closely identified.
